Industrial Production in March increased 0.2% from the previous
month, showing an increase for the fourth consecutive month. It showed a
decrease of 7.3% from the previous year. The index in March was
89.8(seasonally adjusted). Production and Shipments increased,
Inventories and Inventory Ratio decreased. According to the Survey of
Production Forecast in Manufacturing, Production is expected to increase
in April and to decrease in May. Industrial Production shows signs of
picking up at a moderate pace.
