An index measuring prices for domestic corporate goods in Japan was up
0.1 percent in May compared to the previous month, the Bank of Japan
said on Wednesday, standing at 101.6, following the upwardly revised 0.4
percent gain in April. On a yearly basis, prices were up 0.6 percent,
following the upwardly revised 0.1 percent increase in the previous
month. Export prices were down 0.4 percent on month and 2.3 percent on
year, while import prices shed 1.3 percent on month and 4.5 percent on
year.
